Current Obsessions: Peggle Nights Deluxe (PC)
Picked up Peggle Nights from Popcap earlier this week and finally got aound to give it a try. If you’ve never heard of Peggle think of a cross between pachinko and pinball. I’ve been playing with it for the past 2 hours and here’s my hands on so far!

Strong Badia The Free!
After finishing the first episode on Friday and then moving on to episode 2 on Saturday. I’ve finally been able to live my dream of becoming Strong Bad! After playing both of these games and already being a big fan of tell tale games and their Sam and Max episodes how did Strong Bad stack up against them? Are they worth your time and money? I wasn’t sure what to write for the blog so I decided to use our massive movie collection as creativity fodder. That’s what spun this idea: Review one movie, something really good that people may not have heard of or seen, and do this every day for a week. It gets a post on the blog every day, you get to read a good review and it tries my ability to commit to something and follow through. Join me as I introduce you to a movie I saw some time ago that I can say even made me cry at parts.
Rail of the Star
Based off an autobiogripfical Novel by Chitose Kobayashi, this anime follows the life of Chitose (or Chiko to her friends) as she grows up during World War 2. Living in Korea as a Japanese girl, Chiko learns about life in the hardest of ways. Her father gets drafted for the war and while he’s away her younger sister dies. (A tearjerking moment indeed.) In the end the family makes for their escape to South Korea - That which is occupied by the US.

I’ve been feeling artsy lately so I decided to make some Jiggy’s. This is my first attempt at scuplting anything from foam so please bare with me.
They used to be nice and flat but when the paint dried the surface went slightly rough. I carved the Jiggy’s and then gave them 2 coats of white paint (the foam I used was grey so this was necessary as I did an earlier one and it turned out too dark after 6 coats of yellow!) Then 2 coats of yellow and then sprayed with varnish to give them the reflective look.
Latest Obsession: Rock Band 2

Armed with my new love of Viva Pinata (thanks to the DS version of the game I reviewed earlier) we went out Friday and picked up Viva Pinata Trouble in Paradise for the Xbox 360. It’s got awsome tv show tie ins fantastic new pinatas and 2 new areas of pinata island to discover and trap rare and more pinatas than ever before! How did I like it? Everyone must know of my Banjo-Kazooie love by now so I decided to share it with as many people as possible using guerilla marketing for Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts for the Xbox 360. Sure Microsoft and Rare have a huge marketing budget but much like Viva Pinata I don’t think this game is going to get any attention at all. Which sucks for all of us that are going to buy it since I want to trade blueprints and compete with more people!

Now I know this isn’t exactly over the top fantastic and hey someone can probably do better but I want to raise awarness for my favorite game series AND make my world a little more magical.
When I first made the set of eyes the idea was just to put them around the house on varying inanimate objects but then I thought “Hey, why not put these around town!” then it was “No one’s going to get the joke so might aswell advertise Banjo-Kazooie N&B while I’m at it!”

I’ve been playing Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise the newest Rareware game to be released on a Nintendo system over the past day or so. Featuring a totally over hauled and easier to use item and event system aswell as a much easier to navigate Pinata encyclopedia. The game has various different modes compared to its 360 counterpart and all of the pinatas you love are there too!
