I decided to update my list of what I’m reading since I’ve read a few new and awsome books since last update. Once again all of these books I consider to be great and I suggest you check them all out!
1984 by George Orwell
Plot: Written in 1948 by George Orwell this book tells of a nightmarish future where the government whatches everything you do all the time. It tells the story of a man trying to stay free in a world where the power controls everything from the things you see to the words you speak.
My thoughts: I had always heard great things about this book but never got a chance to read it. Now I can say without a doubt it’s one of the finest pieces of sci-fi literature I have ever read! The author manages to craft a world that in many ways is not far off from the one we live in now. A suspensful chilling novel that I think everyone should read at some time.

I’m trying to prioritize my reading since I read alot of books and manga. I tend to jump between them at the drop of a hat aswell making it hard for me to focus on one story at a time. So I made a list of what I’m currently reading and figured I’d share it with everyone and let you in on some great books.
God Emperor of Dune - Frank Herbert

Plot: The 4th book in the sci-fi master piece the Dune series. Set 3,500 years since the events of the last book Paul’s son Leto has ruled the planet Arrakis as a (basically) god.
My thoughts: As a new die hard fan of the Dune universe what I’ve read so far of this book it is on par with the original trilogy. Greatly fleshing out an already expansive universe.

Filed under Lists | Comment (1)Erika’s top 8 PC games
Unlike game consoles that really only have a set lifespan, PC games are generally categorized all together instead of being separted like the other console games. I couldn’t decide on only five games I enjoyed (REALLY enjoyed) so I went the MySpace route and picked a top 8.
8. Myst 4
Had I been the one to play this and not watch/help Deacon this game would probably have wade it higher on my list. It’s graphically improssive, has a great story and puzzles, and is one of the only decent point and click adventures made in this decade.

The PSP is my favourite handheld gaming system for may reasons. First of all, it has a lot of functionality like music and video playback (I watch movies on it all the time), RSS feed agregator, web browser, hackonable emulators, themes and more. Plus, it has an amazing selection of games. When writing this article I had to first ask “do all of the ports and remakes on the PSP really count as games?”. These are some of my bigger selling points on the PSP so it’s come down to this… TWO LISTS!
Check out “Top 5 ORIGINAL PSP games” and “Top 5 PSP ports/remakes” after the break.

Alright it’s time to move on to the handheld section. I have played a ridiculous amount of different DS games so now you can find out exactly what I think is really good.
5. Phoenix Wright Series
This is the best point and click adventure series on the market today. I love the story and it’s so fun to solve. A must play.

Unlke Deacon. I’ve been consistantly updating every day with a new top 5 list, and it was his idea! Either way, I still have many more days of lists to go (seeing as we own a whole hell of a lot of consoles) so at least there will consistantly be new content. Here are wy favourite Wii games.
5. My Sims
I love the Sims, everyone knows it. Although this is really nothing like the PC version and very cutified, it’s still a good game. You have to go around and get people to come to you village and build things for them. It’s pretty fun!

I love my PS3. It plays bluray which looks friggan amazing. Unfourtunatly it doesn’t have a lot of exclusives and most of the cross platform games I have already bought for other consoles. That being said, there are a lot of fantastic titles I would totally recommend!
5. Super Rub a Dub
Use the Sixaxis controller and play as the mama duck trying to collect your baby ducks while trying to avoid little wind up sharks. This game is cute and quacktastic.
