Arts & Craft: Jiggy Time!
I’ve been feeling artsy lately so I decided to make some Jiggy’s. This is my first attempt at scuplting anything from foam so please bare with me.
They used to be nice and flat but when the paint dried the surface went slightly rough. I carved the Jiggy’s and then gave them 2 coats of white paint (the foam I used was grey so this was necessary as I did an earlier one and it turned out too dark after 6 coats of yellow!) Then 2 coats of yellow and then sprayed with varnish to give them the reflective look.
Latest Obsessions - Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise
Armed with my new love of Viva Pinata (thanks to the DS version of the game I reviewed earlier) we went out Friday and picked up Viva Pinata Trouble in Paradise for the Xbox 360. It’s got awsome tv show tie ins fantastic new pinatas and 2 new areas of pinata island to discover and trap rare and more pinatas than ever before! How did I like it? How did it stack up compared to the new DS game? Find out after the jump!

Everyone must know of my Banjo-Kazooie love by now so I decided to share it with as many people as possible using guerilla marketing for Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts for the Xbox 360. Sure Microsoft and Rare have a huge marketing budget but much like Viva Pinata I don’t think this game is going to get any attention at all. Which sucks for all of us that are going to buy it since I want to trade blueprints and compete with more people!

Now I know this isn’t exactly over the top fantastic and hey someone can probably do better but I want to raise awarness for my favorite game series AND make my world a little more magical.
When I first made the set of eyes the idea was just to put them around the house on varying inanimate objects but then I thought “Hey, why not put these around town!” then it was “No one’s going to get the joke so might aswell advertise Banjo-Kazooie N&B while I’m at it!”

I’ve been playing Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise the newest Rareware game to be released on a Nintendo system over the past day or so. Featuring a totally over hauled and easier to use item and event system aswell as a much easier to navigate Pinata encyclopedia. The game has various different modes compared to its 360 counterpart and all of the pinatas you love are there too!

Banjo-Kazooie mega face-off prizes!
Well guys it’s only 4 days away! Can you feel it! I already put this up on MarathonGamer but I figured I’d put it on here too.
Here’s a quick run down of some (not all) of the prizes that will be up for grabs for entrants to the face off:
- 2 pieces of Banjo-Kazooie artwork signed by the Banjo team at Rare.
- A copy of Banjo-Kazooie: Grunty’s Revenge on the GBA (not boxed sorry guys)
- A Marathon-Gamer shirt.
- And a few other surprises that we’re still working out the details on.
Members of Spiral Mountain will recieve:
1. The member of SM who clocks the fastest time (whether they win it overall or not) with 10,000 tokens.
2. The member of SM who clocks the second-fastest time will win 5,000 tokens.
3. Third-placed SM member will win themselves 1,000 tokens

Seeing as how my last post was so negative when it comes to the newest installment of BK I wanted to post the aspects of the game I AM looking forward to. Poeple seem to have gotten the wrong idea about my feelings towards the game. I’m still excited and I still love Rare the whole vehicle thing is not where I would have gone with Banjo.
I will still buy the game launch day and probably have a blast with it.
So without further addo here are the things I’m still looking forward to in Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts!

Everyone has pretty much got now that I’m a HUGE Banjo-Kazooie fan. I like to think of myself as being pretty well informed when it comes to the goings on with what is without a doubt my all time favorite franchise.
As I’ve just stated I consider Banjo-Kazooie is my all time favorite game series so imagine my shock and happiness when BK3 for the Xbox 360 was announced. This announcement pretty much sold me to the Xbox making me go out the day after the trailer was released and buy one in anticipation. That was 2 years ago.
