Filed under Games | Comment (0)Erika’s top 8 PC games
Unlike game consoles that really only have a set lifespan, PC games are generally categorized all together instead of being separted like the other console games. I couldn’t decide on only five games I enjoyed (REALLY enjoyed) so I went the MySpace route and picked a top 8.
8. Myst 4
Had I been the one to play this and not watch/help Deacon this game would probably have wade it higher on my list. It’s graphically improssive, has a great story and puzzles, and is one of the only decent point and click adventures made in this decade.

The PSP is my favourite handheld gaming system for may reasons. First of all, it has a lot of functionality like music and video playback (I watch movies on it all the time), RSS feed agregator, web browser, hackonable emulators, themes and more. Plus, it has an amazing selection of games. When writing this article I had to first ask “do all of the ports and remakes on the PSP really count as games?”. These are some of my bigger selling points on the PSP so it’s come down to this… TWO LISTS!
Check out “Top 5 ORIGINAL PSP games” and “Top 5 PSP ports/remakes” after the break.

Alright it’s time to move on to the handheld section. I have played a ridiculous amount of different DS games so now you can find out exactly what I think is really good.
5. Phoenix Wright Series
This is the best point and click adventure series on the market today. I love the story and it’s so fun to solve. A must play.

Unlke Deacon. I’ve been consistantly updating every day with a new top 5 list, and it was his idea! Either way, I still have many more days of lists to go (seeing as we own a whole hell of a lot of consoles) so at least there will consistantly be new content. Here are wy favourite Wii games.
5. My Sims
I love the Sims, everyone knows it. Although this is really nothing like the PC version and very cutified, it’s still a good game. You have to go around and get people to come to you village and build things for them. It’s pretty fun!

I love my PS3. It plays bluray which looks friggan amazing. Unfourtunatly it doesn’t have a lot of exclusives and most of the cross platform games I have already bought for other consoles. That being said, there are a lot of fantastic titles I would totally recommend!
5. Super Rub a Dub
Use the Sixaxis controller and play as the mama duck trying to collect your baby ducks while trying to avoid little wind up sharks. This game is cute and quacktastic.

Filed under Lists | Comment (1)Deacon’s top 5 XBox 360 games
As Erika said in her earlier post we’re going to list our favorite games accross all the consoles we own in hopes that it persueds some of our readers to give them a go for themselves!
The Xbox 360 was a hard one to do as there’s alot of games that I personally like on the system but are also cross platform. In the end I decided I’d list the games that since buying the 360 I’ve had the most fun with or have stood out to me in some way.
So what did I choose? Find out after the jump!

Filed under Lists | Comment (0)5 most morbid moments in stuff for kids
Have you ever been watching a kid’s movie or playing a kid’s game and thought to yourself “Wow, that’s really morbid”? That’s happened to me a few times, so heres the list of the top 5 that stuck in my mind.
5. Hello Kitty animated series - The Little Match Girl

Hello Kitty is ultra popular nowadays with kids and adults alike, but when the animated series came out that wasn’t so much the case. The first time I saw this cartoon (not this episode mind you) was on Treehouse, a channel intended for preschoolers. If you don’t already know, the story the little match girl is about this girl who, on Christmas Eve, doesn’t have anywhere to stay. She strikes a match to keep warm and sees her dead grandmother and so she continues to stirke them one after another so she won’t disappear. Despite her efforts to keep warm with the matches, freezes to death. They try and console you by showing her with her grandmother. Since this is acted out quite true to the story, Hello Kitty (as the little match girl) dies at the end of the episode.
4. The Lion King - Mufasa’s death

Although sad, the fact that Mufasa dies is not all that morbid. Death happens. Maybe it’s the fact that Mufasa was thrown off the cliff by his own brother into a stampede and then was trampled to death. Maybe it was Simba trying to wake up his dead father (a tear-jerking scene) and then crawling under his arm to snuggle. Maybe it was Scar telling Simba it was all his fault that his father had died and that he should run away. Maybe it was that Scar sent the hyhenas after Simba to kill him too.
3. The Land Before Time - Little Foot’s mother dies

As I stated before, even in children’s movies death happens. What makes this one so morbid that it graces my number one morbid spot? Little Foot’s and his mother get attacked by Sharp Teeth and, in an effort to protect Little Foot, his mother tries to fight them. He finds safety while his mother finds the teeth of the T-Rex who takes a good sized chunk out of her. Her and the T-Rex fell off the edge of a cliff. Little Foot finds her and, after she says her goodbyes and dies, is then unbelievably sad. Later on he sees his shadow and it looks as large like his mother, so he mistakes it for her. After chasing it for some distance and licking the wall it was on, he discovers that it was not her. Not only is this very sad, it’s so morbid.
2. Viva Pinata - Eating candy

In Viva Pinata you get adorable Pinatas in your garden, add cute accessories and decorate to your heart’s content. With an extra controller option so parents can help young childern play and a whole bunch of online safety videos, this game feels like it’s the most family friendly game on the 360. Despite the fact that the game is much more complicated then it lets on, there is something else that I found a little adult.
Sometimes your Pinatas fight. Sometimes they get sick and die. Sometimes Professor Pester comes and kills them for no reason. Everytime this happens, they turn into candy. Once a Pinata explodes, all the other Pinatas rush to eat the candy. (or the pinata’s guts.) This can result in cannibalism much of the time and it’s always terrible.
1. 101 Dalmations - 99 puppies

In 101 Dalmations, Cruella DeVille wants to get her hands on as many puppies as she can in order to skin them and make fur coats. She buys 84 from pet stores and steals the other 15 from their loving home. Sgt. Tibbs manages to rescue all 99 puppies just in time. Cruella’s henchmen were ordered to kill them all and they had planned to do it by whacking the dogs over the head. If this isn’t bad enough, it’s a Disney movie so the dogs are the main characters and, or corse, are totally sentient and know what’s going on. Just to recap: They were going to kill and skin 99 sentient puppies. What’s not morbid?
