Rumoursaurus - Why You Should/n’t buy Viva Pinata 2

Apparently the new Game Informer lists some of the following features about Viva Pinata 2 - Trouble In Paradise. I bought and loved the first one but here are a few reasons for and against buying it.

Why you should get it:
- Improved interactivity between the pinata’s and the environments.
- Pinata’s will mimic each others action and follow the leader around the garden.
- They’ll be adding toys for the pinatas to play with like musical instruments, spaced themed toys, and trains that the pinata’s will ride around the garden.
- 2 new sub areas called Pinarctic and Dessert that’ll allow you to travel to new locations and lay traps for the pinatas.
- A drop in and drop out co op mode.
- Improved UI.

Why you shouldn’t get it:
- 30 new pinatas.
There was about 50 pinatas in the first one. Does this mean that this game will only have 30 pinatas or will it include the old pinatas? Does that mean we bought the first for nothing?
- A photo mode will allow you to upload pictures to the website. So lame.
- You will pay $50 for this game on launch and within a month it will be down to $20, like the first.
- If this is not an expansion pack, then you will be starting new gardens.
- Make a stand to Rareware about Banjo Kazooie 3’s suckyness.
- Viva Pinata feels like it should be on the PC. The PC version of the first one came out a year after it’s initial release. If this does the same wait for the PC verion, it’ll control much better.

I personally am not going to get this game. I haven’t seen all of the pinatas in the first game yet and don’t want to pay for half a new game. I think it’s bullshit that #2 will likely get you everything from #1 after I already paid $60. I want entirely new pinatas in my new game.

Banjo-Threeie Racing?

If Banjo Kazooie 3 isn’t a racing game then it’s the most vehicle heavy platformer we’ve ever seen!

For anyone who’s not in the know screenshots of the eegrly anticipated Banjo-Kazooie 3 were just released. Now I’m as excited as anybody for these new screens but I’m feeling very worried.

Rare has been quoted as saying

Banjo-Kazooie 3 won’t be your average platformer!

and

The old worlds will return but not how you might think.

What if both of these quotes are to say that while Banjo-Kazooie 3 will have platforming it will focus heavily on racing around the different worlds or vehicle use. With the second quote it’s more likely that the older levels wil return as unlockable race tracks.
